ICONS Foundation

ICONS is a non-profit organization with the mission to boost research impacts on society through public communication, business and social innovation. Since more than 20 years ICONS is a key partner in EU-funded Research & Innovation projects. ICONS designs and executes communication, dissemination, exploitation and social innovation strategies and measures their impacts through innovative indicators. During its lifetime ICONS has been involved in more than 80 EU funded collaboration projects – 40 in H2020 and 15 in Horizon Europe so far, covering different research domains (from energy efficiency, to smart cities and communities, bioeconomy, health, future technologies, etc). ICONS is a strategic partner of the Horizon Results Booster consortium, the EU flagship initiative delivering dissemination and exploitation support services to EU-funded projects.

Role in the project
In INHERIT, ICONS designs and executes communication and dissemination strategies and measures their impacts through innovative indicators. As a key partner in EU-funded Research & Innovation projects, in INHERIT ICONS has the mission to boost research impacts on society through public communication. Other ICONS contributions to the project include public outreach and knowledge transfer tasks, stakeholder engagement and networking, and learning resources for the stakeholders involved in the recycling value chain. Moreover, ICONS designs strategies to boost innovation impacts for the benefit of society, the economy, and the future.
