Dear reader,

We are excited to share the latest updates and achievements from the INHERIT project, advancing the sustainable preservation, restoration, and management of cultural heritage buildings across Europe.

In October, INHERIT partners gathered in Croatia for our project meeting, reviewing progress and planning the next steps to ensure the impact and scalability of our solutions.

We are also thrilled to share two new pilot videos showcasing our actions in Croatia and Türkiye, offering a closer look at how INHERIT is making a tangible difference on the ground.

Our peer-learning visits continue to bring partners across Europe. Recent exchanges in Slovenia (Žalec and Ravne na Koroškem), Cyprus, and Italy allowed participants to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices on sustainable solutions for historic buildings, strengthening collaboration and innovation across all pilot sites.

On the societal and social engagement side, we are proud to announce new deliverables that provide practical guidance for co-creation, active participation, and capacity building, supporting the societal dimension of heritage innovation.

The INHERIT team

Last October,  the INHERIT consortium gathered in Croatia for our third project meeting, organised by REGEA. The two-days meeting offered us the opportunity to set a shared vision for the next months and renew the collaboration among partners.

Within INHERIT project, ICLEI developed a Capacity Building Programme to support the adoption of next-generation solutions in heritage management.
Through peer learning, e-learning modules, and reflective journals, the programme helps practitioners and stakeholders strengthen the competencies needed to sustain, scale, and replicate innovative practices.

A new report developed by ICLEI explores how co-creation, stakeholder involvement, and social innovation can drive meaningful transformation across Europe’s heritage-built environment.
This milestone reinforces INHERIT’s commitment to participatory and sustainable cultural heritage management, while paving the way for stronger engagement strategies and the continued evolution of Social Labs.
